The Final Chapter

After Alex landed, he was sedated again and taken to Simba River Camp in the savannah. He was laying in a tent when he regained conciousness and movement. He tried to find a way to escape but he was surrounded by fierce and tough african tribesmen. After a couple hours of recovering, Alex realized that the gel pen (actually a bomb) Smithers gave him was still in his pocket and that he was served breakfast. He wolfed it down and tried to get as much rest as possible. After a couple more hours he was finnaly taken to take flight in a Piper Cub on top of some wheat crops and he was made to pull a levewr that liberated some sort of chemical. After that he was returned to his tent and served lunch, on the evening he was told to be prepared to have dinner with Desmond McCain in middle of the savannah. During the dinner, McCain explained his plan to Alex about poisoning the entire continent and making a fortune with his charity that as soon people cash-in the money, will vanish and dissapear and Desmond will retire to Switzerland as a millionaire man and get a plastic face surgery. So, after dinner Alex was returned to his tent and slept as much as he could, he knew his torture will come next. On the morning, he was taken to the edge of the river in which he was exposed to deadly crocodiles that were gonna eat him. So, he found a metal bar on which he could hang, but he couldn´t hold much so miraculously an indian secret service agent appeared and saved his life. Togethe r they escaped to a safer place and rested a bit. Alex had a plan to flood the crops and prevent them from spreading the poison. His idea was to got to the Simba water dam and blow it with a bomb that the indian agent had on his back pack, so he started his journey. When he got to the dam he realized he was being followed and soon started to plant the bomb, when his followers arrived the bomb went off and all of them fell and drowned. Luckily he was in the highest part and was rescued by the indian agent in the Piper Cub. after that they flew to the Nairobi airport in which Mccain shot the indian agent and made Alex kneel. but Alex had a plan. He made McCain follow him to a room in which there were a lot of small fuel canisters and he set off his pen-bomb into one of the canisters and threw it to McCainand watched how he burnt out. After that he was rescued and taken to London and he stood two weeks in the hospital for recovering

MI6 knows it all...

Since Alex told MI6 about Bulman´s plan on writing the article, they had a plan to make Bulman´s ideas to be rich with Alex´s story vanish. What they did was that when the morning came, Bulman got out of his apartment he tried to open his bank account but it didnt exist, he tried to find his car but it vanished, he couldn´t even go inside his house becauuse his keys weren´t the right ones. Somehow a police officer imagined he was triying to break inand he got arrested and taken to the police HQ.   MI6 managed to "delete" him from all records and make his life miserable. So, he talked to Smith, a MI6 agent that was in charge of making Bulman feel sorry, he was told that this would happen again and it would be permanent if he mess with Alex Rider or if he even mention him. After that, MI6 sent Alex in a investigation mission to a private facility called "Greenfields", it was na enterprise dedicated to research and modify crops. What Alex had to do was get some files from the main computer, it seemed easy, but he almost got killed. In the end, he made it, after getting involved with Desmond McCain in Sweden, he found him at Greenfields which seemed suspicious. So then, he decided to go investigate in a facility he overheard someone talking and went to take a look but it was only a movie set located near Heathrow Airport, but what he heard was that they´ll be going to burn it, and Alex was inside. But no one knew that, somehow Alex managed to get out of the burning studio safe and sound. After he got home, Desmond McCain addresed a meeting with Harold Bulman to know it all about Alex Rider, so when the meeting ended McCain shot Bulman and went to kidnap Alex after school. Alex barely realized he was being kidnaped because at the exact second he was trapped, he got sedated and lost conciousness and movement. After he regained conciousness, he still couldn´t move, the only things he could do was move his neck a bit and open his mouth, in that state, he was taken to the airport and was flown off with a fake ID to Kenya, Africa

"Peaceful" Moments...

After getting out of the hospital, they all went back to London where they separated because Sabina lived now in San Francisco. When Alex got home Jack Starbright, his legal guardian, hugged him and they sat down to talk about what happened. After that, Alex had the whole weekend to get ready for school, finally it all seemed to be calm. When he was returning from school he passed through the cementery visiting his uncle´s grave when three chinese men stood behind him with the intention of killing him. But Alex counter attacked and sent the three of them to the hospital. After that he returned home running and told it all to Jack, in a moment the the  door rang and Jack answered. They were looking for Alex, a man named Harold Bulman, a freelance journalist. He intrduced himself and told Alex that he has been investigating him and knew all the missions he has done and intended to publish i and become rich and inernationally famous. Harold wanted Alex´s permision, even though we could´ve done it already, but he proposed Alex to divide the profit. Alex answered him that he might be wanting a couple days to think about it, so they agreed and were supposed to meet in two days after school. The moment Bulman left, they both thought of telling MI6. The next day, Jack picked up Alex from school and went to MI6 headquarters where Alex told everythin to Alan Blunt, the head of operations of MI6 about the article Harold wanted to write. So, Alex left and Alan Blunt told Ms. Jones (his right hand) to get a file on Harold Bulman. When Jack and Alex returned home, they felt much safer knowing that MI6 knew about the article and that it could expose both, Alex and MI6.

First Part

The introductions Anthony Horowitz makes in his Alex Rider books sometimes have no sense until later in the book, when someone reveals the full story and then it makes sense. In this book, Crocodile Tears, the introduction (first chapter) is abou a man called Ravi Chandra, he was hindu and works at a nuclear power plant in Jowanda, three miles north from Chennai. He worked as the plant operator and was hired by unknown people to put a bomb in the reactor core and make it blow. He was told that when he planted the bomb he would have a ten minute delay to escape and when the plant was destroyed he would be given a fair amount of money to make his wife and sons happy. But it was all a lie, the bomb blew out immediatly and he was killed with everyone inside the plant. Luckily he had his family evacuated before it all happened, but what Ravi just made was a second Chenobryl disaster. When the chapter is over the story about Alex Rider comes in.

He was in Sweden with his friend, Sabina Pleasure and her parents; Edward and Liz Pleasure. It was New Year´s Eve, and they were invited to a party at Kilmore Castle, near Loch Arkaig. When they were leaving, Liz Pleasure decided she will stay home because she felt sick, so only Alex, Sabina and Edward went to the pary. While they were on their way, Alex talked a bit with Edward Pleasure about the party´s host, Desmond McCain, an exprofesional boxer who wad fallen and risen suspiciously but seemed to be a good guy. When they arrived at Kilmore Castle their car was checked and they proceeded, when they were inside they were inspected and kept on. Then they all split, Alex went to the casino area, even though he was too young. In there he was invited by McCain to join the poker game in which he won 25,000 and decided to give it to charity, since that day he made enemies with McCain. Then when was walking out he found Sabina and together they looked for Edward and left, when they were leaving it was almost 12:00. When they were driving, in a second everything seemed calm until Edward lost the control of the car and headed towards Loch Arkaig and they crashed. They all blacked out as they sank, when Alex woke up the car was in the bottom and Sabina was criying but Edward was still fained. So, Alex got Edward´s cane and broke the windo because the door wouldnt open and Sabina swam out while Alex took care of taking Edward out. After that, a small van passed through the lake´s shore and picked them up taking them to the hospital.

Intro

During this summer vacaion 2015 I read the book called Crocodile Tears by Anthony Horowitz. THis book is part of the Alex Rider series and it is in the New York Time´s best selling authors list. This book is one of the many adventures of Alex Rider, a teenager, who works as a spy for the brithish secret service; MI6. Basicly Alex is a fourteen-year-old working as a spy, risking his life and defiying death. The Alex Rider series are action-packed with lots of gunshots, explosions and full of details. Some lessons this books give are that you have to always do the imposible and that you can always do better than last time, this books are somehow inspiring and they help you see how other people´s life is.

Alex Rider is a fourteen year-old that lives in London, UK in the sector of Chelsea with his legal guardian Jack Starbright that takes care of him since his uncle Ian Rider died. Alex never met his parents, his father was killed in a mission for MI6 and his mother vanished suddenly, since then he lived with his uncle and then when he passed he lives with Jack. Alex has worked for MI6 since his uncle´s death and has done a missions all over the globe; Swiss Alps, Venice, Australia, etc. Also he has worked with many organizations like: MI6, CIA, ASIS and others. During his missions Alex has made a lot of enemies, some of them are: Yassen Gregorovich (who ended being his godfather and his father´s best friend), Damian Cray (famous pop star), Desmond McCain(exprofesional boxer and millionaire) and many others.  He has also gone undercover into terrorist organizations, like Scorpia, in which he was trained with the best assasin skills someone could have and also has gone undercover in government organizations that MI6 has suspected about, like Greenfields (GM crops specialized company). In his missions he has saved the world from complete catastrophes, for example the Stormbreaker computers. They were  suposed to be computers that would show images or video in virual reality and every school in the world would have one, but, Alex found out they would be used as bombs and destroyed them. That is one of his missions, actually his first. Alex has a very complicated life, because he has barely attended school because he has busy with the missions MI6 gives him, plus the recovery  he has to make after each mission´s wounds. Alex has defied death in all his missions, but once he saw the true face of death when he was walking from school to his house and got shot in his left shoulder, centimeters over his heart, by a sniper in a roof. There was when he saw his whole life go past him.
